Some things before I go...

Thought that I would first of all point you to another hilarious site courtesy of Big Ell. I pointed you towards a top 10 most ridiculous (at least I think I did; I can't find it in my archives...) a while ago and here is its hilarious sequel: (The Other) Top 10 Most Ridiculous Black Metal Pics of All Time

Do yourself a favour and check it out.

Fixed the trunk of the Lincoln today and it is now ready to be piloted. We'll wait until after the move.

In looking through my archives for said link I have realized how much this blog became anything but a comics blog. I used to talk about New Comics, upcoming solicitations, and covers. After the move look to see more stuff on solicitations and covers on a regular basis. I don't talk about new comics anymore because I'm playing catch-up on a year of books from when I was in Scotland. They're fun but I don't think it would be too interesting going on about the Daredevil: Golden Age storyline.

Here is some recent comic stuff:

Green Lantern #4-Hector Hammond may be my new favourite DC villain. Johns handles him beautifully and sets up the new GL Corps title in this issue. Sharp and vibrant colours with a great handles of the characters gives the art my thumbs up. And I've never been a Van Scriver fan!

Teen Titans #27-Haven't actually read it but Adam (my LCS owner/operator) pointed out that if you had a drinking game based on taking a shot every time you saw a Liefeld-drawn background then you'd be one sober dude.

Jeph Loeb and Joe Mad taking over Ultimates after Millar/Hitch leave? Good to know that Marvel picked the one artist who'll be less regualar on his art than Hitch. Guess I'll be saving myself a few bucks...

There! Am I still relevant?

Going to a staff appreciation night tonight for a place I no longer work. Those words sound so sweet.

Not too sure how much I'll be posting between now and September 12th. Meg and I are moving starting tomorrow and won't get a connection in our new place until the 12th. To top that off we won't have a phone until Telus employees decide that they don't want to stand around outside with a sign any longer. I think I am a bit of a Socialist in my support for the worker but every time somthing like this happens the fascist side of me comes out.

I will be in a communication blackout for a while in between checking my email on Nana's computer so I bid you adieu.

This is kind of funny, I get off my ass and comment just as you are no longer able to read comments.

I've noticed a drift away from comics on my blog as well. Like you said, talking exclusively about comics was easier in the beginning. I used to rack my brain trying to come up with non-comics related material. Now it's the opposite, and writing about comics is a real struggle. I wonder why that is?

I'd still like to read your reviews of the older stuff you're reading.

Is Telus on strike? I'm so lost out here in the wilderness.
